Privacy Policy

Modern Bounty ("Modern Bounty", "we", "us") is operated by VAST PROJECTS PTY LTD (ABN 32 659 676 178) of 56 Uplands Court, Tallai, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. We sell to customers internationally, and this policy applies to everyone who visits or buys from modernbounty.com.au, wherever you are located.

We aim to handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), even where our turnover means the Act may not strictly apply to us. If you have concerns we haven't addressed, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Order information -- your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided), and the items and amounts you order.
• Account information -- if you create an account, your name, email, phone, and saved addresses, and a securely hashed password.
• Contact form submissions -- the name, email, and message you send us via our Contact page.
• Usage analytics -- we record events such as product views, cart and checkout activity, and completed purchases, together with a randomly generated session identifier stored in your browser. This is our own first-party analytics -- we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party advertising or tracking service, and we do not sell your personal information.
• Marketing attribution -- if you arrive at our site from a link that includes campaign parameters (e.g. from a social media post), we store those parameters in your browser for up to 30 days so we can understand which content led to a sale. This data is not shared with the platform the link came from.

Cookies and browser storage

We use an essential first-party cookie to remember your shopping cart and, if you're signed in, your session. We use your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to store the analytics session identifier and marketing attribution described above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• process, fulfil, and deliver your order, including sharing necessary order and delivery details with our suppliers and delivery/courier providers strictly for that purpose;
• send you order-related emails (confirmation, shipping, cancellation, and refund notices) via our email service provider, Resend;
• respond to messages you send via our Contact page;
• maintain your account, if you have one;
• understand how our store is used and which marketing content is effective, using the first-party analytics described above;
• meet our legal, accounting, and consumer-guarantee obligations.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, strictly for that purpose:

• our website and application hosting providers;
• Resend, our transactional email provider;
• suppliers and delivery/courier providers, to fulfil and ship your order;
• a payment processor, if and when one is enabled at checkout -- we do not currently process live online payments, and this policy will be updated with the relevant processor's details if that changes.

Because we operate online and use service providers, your information may be processed outside your own country, including in Australia. If you are contacting us from outside Australia and have questions about a specific data-protection regime that applies to you (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or a US state privacy law), please get in touch via our Contact page and we will do our best to assist.

How long we keep your information

We keep order records for as long as reasonably necessary to meet our accounting, warranty, consumer-guarantee, and other legal obligations. We keep account information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account information at any time (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us via our Contact page. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible. Some information (for example, records we're required to keep for accounting or legal reasons) may need to be retained even after such a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our payment or service providers change. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
