Returns & Exchanges

Last updated: 5 September 2026

This policy explains how returns work at Modern Bounty, operated by VAST PROJECTS PTY LTD (ABN 32 659 676 178). It has two parts: our own voluntary policy below, and your consumer guarantee rights, which apply regardless of our policy and are never reduced by it.

Change of mind

We don't offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges. If you simply change your mind, ordered the wrong size or option by mistake, or no longer want an item that arrived exactly as described, we're not able to offer a refund or exchange for that reason alone.

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items -- our 30-day policy

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of receiving it via our Contact page with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos if you can. We'll assess your claim and arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as set out below.

This 30-day window is our own service commitment for handling these issues promptly -- it is not a limit on your legal rights. If a fault becomes apparent after 30 days, you may still have rights under the Australian Consumer Law described below, and we encourage you to contact us regardless of how much time has passed.

If we confirm the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs, and reimburse you for return postage you've already paid.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Where these guarantees apply to your purchase, you are entitled to a remedy for a failure to comply, and (broadly speaking):

  • for a minor failure, we may choose to fix the problem, such as by offering a free repair (though we may choose to offer a replacement or refund instead); and
  • for a major failure (for example, the goods are unsafe or substantially unfit for their purpose), you can choose whether you'd like a refund or a replacement of the same type of goods.

No return policy of ours -- including the change-of-mind exclusion above -- can take away, reduce, or restrict these rights. More information on your consumer guarantee rights is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at accc.gov.au.

How to start a return

For a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, or if you believe a consumer guarantee applies to your order, please contact us via our Contact page. If you have an account, you can also start a return or cancellation request from your order history.
